David Clonts, DDS

The staff are always great. They greet me with enthusiasm. I really like Dr. Clonts. We joke, and he and his staff take really good care of my teeth. I probably have options a lot closer to my home but, I know I will get quality, exciting service from Stansbury Dental & Implant Center so I feel comfortable and confident using them exclusively. Thank you, all staff for many years of great service there.

Originally from California, Dr. David Clonts came to Utah to do his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University where he met his wife, Joann. They married in 1988 and together undertook the great life’s work of welcoming and raising of 7 wonderful children. In 1991, Dr. Clonts graduated from the University of the Pacific with his dental degree and has been devoted to practicing the highest quality dentistry ever since. Spend a little time with Dr. Clonts and you’ll quickly come to know for yourself that be believes in honesty and a job well done. Besides his passion for the work he does here at Stansbury Dental and Implant Center Dr. Clonts shares his second favorite past-time with hundreds of Utah natives and transplants alike– hitting the slopes Dr. David Clonts has put in years of service delivering experienced, high-quality, conservative dental care to individuals and families. His compassionate personality and dedication to excellence will put you at ease knowing that your dental health is in good hands.

Tyler Neal, DMD

Dr. Neal is the best dentist ever - SO gentle with my crown! I was very nervous but did not need to be. The staff is fun friendly and very professional! I highly recommend it. Five out of five stars for sure!

Dr. Neal was born and raised in Northern California where he began his undergraduate studies at California State University, Chico majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology. After completing his undergraduate studies he worked in a dental office to gain more experience before he started dental school. While interviewing across the country, Dr. Neal found the beautiful mountain views from Roseman Dental Medicine in South Jordan, UT were outstanding and where he wanted to be.After graduation, Dr. Neal spent some time at Ohio State University gaining valuable experience, and has since decided to come back to Utah and practice full-time among our beautiful mountains. Dr. Neal enjoys spending his free time with his golden retriever or enjoying mountain biking, fishing, and golfing.

Dr. Luis Franco - Endodontist

I had a retreat root canal done yesterday, and have had zero pain afterward. Dr. Franco has the nicest bedside manner and has the greatest skills to go along with kindness. I highly recommend using him for your endodontics!

Dr. Franco is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as an officer. He received his degree in Flight Operations from Westminster College, DDS from the University of Utah and completed his residency in Endodontics at Boston University. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association and Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association. Dr. Franco has a passion for educating others about patient care and the incredibly interesting world of endodontics. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, swimming and learning how to play the piano and electric guitar.

Dr. Shaun Heward - Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon

I had oral surgery today. I had anesthesia and everything went perfectly. The whole team was great! Dr. Shaun Heward, the surgeon, is so caring and kind. He called me twice before my surgery to explain everything that would be done and to answer my questions. It really put me at ease.

Dr. Shaun Heward was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. He attended Alta High School and completed his undergraduate at University of Utah. During this time he worked as a dental laboratory technician making crowns and bridges. He then moved to Lexington, Kentucky where he completed dental school at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Following dental school, he began medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School. While at the University of Michigan, he also completed his internship in general surgery, residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and was a chief resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Heward has extensive surgical training in corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), tumors/cysts of the jaws, face trauma, dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, cleft lip and palate, face reconstruction and bone grafting. He is delighted to have moved back to his home state of Utah and working with Platinum Dental Services. He also has a passion for serving others abroad and continues to treat less fortunate patients on mission trips overseas. When Dr. Heward is not at work he enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, biking, shooting, gardening, wood working and cooking.

Dr. Brandon Williams - Orthodontist

The orthodontist Dr. Williams and his assistant took great care of me, answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything. I’ve never had this high quality of care with my previous dental providers.

Brandon H. Williams, DDS, is a retired US Air Force Colonel. He served four years as a General Dentist and an additional 17 years as an Orthodontist in the USAF Dental Corps. Originally from Alamosa, CO, Dr. Williams graduated from Brigham Young University in 1998 and earned his DDS from Case Western Reserve University in 2002. With an ardent passion for orthodontics, he has treated thousands of patients, catalyzing transformative changes in their smiles and bolstering their confidence. Dr. Williams provides a diverse array of services, ranging from braces, clear aligners, and palatal expansion to orthognathic surgeries. Beyond the realm of dentistry, he finds joy in spending quality time with his family and embarking on journeys of exploration through travel.

Dr. Robert Swenson - Periodontist

Seeing a dentist is rarely at the top of the list of fun things to do. Dr Swenson and his staff may not have put it on the top of the list but they definitely helped move it up several notches. They were professional, competent and friendly. Highly recommend him if you are looking for a good Periodontist.

Dr. Swenson grew up in Utah County, he attended Pleasant Grove and Mountain View high schools. After high school he served a mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in France and Switzerland. After his mission, Dr. Swenson attended BYU and earned a B.S. degree in Biochemistry. Dr. Swenson later moved to Richmond, Virginia to attend VCU dental school. While there he met his wife, Andrea, as she returned from her mission in Colorado. They were married in the Washington, DC temple. Dr. Swenson graduated from Dental school in 2015 with his DDS degree, honors from Quintessence Publications for his research in Oral Cancer, and honors from the American Academy of Periodontology for his work in Periodontics.
